Ultra Fine Tylose (CMC) by Cakers Warehouse is used to harden fondant to create gum paste or to set your figures and flowers!

Sourced from Findland, our Tylose is the highest food grade CMC on the market. Unlike cheaper brands on the market, ours is ultra fine and does not leave a grainy texture in your icing.

It's fine texture is also perfect for creating your own edible glue. Dilute 1/4 teaspoon Tylose into 2 tablespoons of warm water, leave in the fridge overnight with a lid or until clear and diluted. Adjust as needed.

To harden fondant decorations, add approx 1 teaspoon of Tylose to every 250g of fondant and knead in well. You will instantly feel your fondant take on a firm texture. It will continue to harden with exposure to air.

The amount of CMC needed may vary slightly depending on weather conditions or colour of your fondant (high humidity or dark colours use more tylose).

Tip: To speed up the process of setting your fondant, put your icing in the freezer (not fridge). This will help dry out your icing.
